Brown Bear's product suite, Total Cover, comprises an integrated suite of applications that can be used to protect email on your PC as well as email that resides on a virtual server. The Total Cover product comprises an integrated suite of applications that can be used to protect any message-based transaction between a client PC and host application. It uses a combination of the PKP authentication techniques with special management software and can be scaled for both individual and institutional use.
Total Cover’s applications suite comprises:
- A client-based software application containing routines for; Create envelope, Insert threat, Create encrypted message, decipher encrypted message, Threat module neutralizer, run Biometric identifier supported by management software

A host-based software application containing modules and routines in support of the client software including; Control Panel, Comms management, Trigger and Threat generation/neutralize routines, Encryption/decryption routines. It also manages the download installation of any requires routines to the client software.

Brown Bear's products are supported by patented technology - they are the owner of the US Patent 6968458 which is "apparatus and method for providing secure communication on a network, granted November 22, 2005. Brown Bear Inc also has the rights to use the ANS biometric identification system supported by US Patent 5142565 for the biometric identification of users.
